Big Data Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create large-scale systems for data processing.

• Collaborate with the Product team to define requirements and manage the project from start to finish.

• Evaluate and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of applications.

• Adopt a long-term perspective and strive for thorough solutions rather than temporary fixes.

• Spot and eliminate unnecessary complexities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Java, Scala, or Python development.

• More than 3 years of experience in the development of Big Data systems.

• Proficient in constructing complex data pipelines, including SQL-based transformations using tools like dbt or Dataform, as well as large-scale data processing with distributed frameworks such as Apache Spark.

• Strong knowledge of BigQuery or other data warehouses, including performance tuning and monitoring capabilities.

• Familiar with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, and able to expand it with new data pipelines while troubleshooting operational issues.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Knowledgeable in CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and other DevOps methodologies.

• Proficient in algorithms, data structures, and platforms.

• Experienced in database system design with RDBMS and/or NoSQL.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.

• Proficient in Polish and English communication.
