This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the essential operational foundation of Kobie's data platform, ensuring that the ETL/ELT pipelines, dimensional models, and Snowflake environments that support client reporting and dashboards operate reliably, at scale, every day.
• Transform client loyalty program specifications into production-ready data warehouse configurations — from source system analysis and dimensional modeling to the KALC (Kobie Alchemy Loyalty Cloud) platform tables and extracts that downstream reporting and client services depend on.
• Quickly diagnose and resolve data pipeline failures so that clients and internal stakeholders rarely notice disruptions by leveraging debugging expertise and Snowflake knowledge to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
• Create a data architecture capable of adapting to change by redesigning Kobie's data mart to accommodate an incoming event-driven, domain-driven application layer without compromising the existing operational foundation.
• Provide the data infrastructure necessary for AI-powered loyalty products. This is achieved not by building the models directly, but by establishing a reliable, well-governed platform that supports Kobie's innovation team in their development efforts.
• Improve the trustworthiness of every pipeline through automated testing, audit logging, CI/CD discipline, and comprehensive documentation that simplifies ownership for the next engineer.
• Over 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, focused on designing and managing production-grade data pipelines.
• More than 3 years of direct experience with Snowflake as the primary data warehousing solution, demonstrating deep fluency in data sharing, data clean rooms, marketplace, and Snowpark.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and JavaScript for data transformation, pipeline development, and automation scripting.
• Proven CI/CD experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with data replication tools such as Kafka, GoldenGate, HVR, Qlik Replicate, or similar technologies.
• In-depth understanding of Kimball dimensional modeling, including star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and snapshot and transaction fact tables.
• Experience in integrating various data sources, such as APIs, messaging systems, and streaming platforms.
• Solid knowledge of OLTP, Data Vault, and data warehouse architecture patterns, with the ability to evaluate source systems and convert business requirements into dimensional models.
• Experience in designing event-driven architectures and comprehending their influence on data pipeline design.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design principles and how changes in application architecture affect downstream data flow into the warehouse.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Ability to work independently across multiple concurrent projects in an Agile environment, with effective communication skills for engaging with non-technical data stakeholders.
• Flexible Time Off to recharge when necessary.
• Nine Company-Wide Holidays.
• A diverse array of benefits focusing on your growth, development, and personal well-being.
