Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee scalable data pipelines that integrate internal databases, vendor systems, and our data warehouse.

• Support both batch processing as well as event-driven or CDC-based data workflows.

• Enhance the reliability, observability, and performance of data pipelines.

• Diagnose and resolve issues in production while proactively addressing data quality and system challenges.

• Create and maintain data warehouse schemas and transformation layers to facilitate analytics and operational use cases.

• Clearly articulate implementation decisions, trade-offs, and technical limitations.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing data workflows through improved tools, automation, and engineering practices.

• Contribute to the development of scalable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in production settings.

• Familiarity with both batch processing and streaming / CDC / event-driven data methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to design and manage scalable warehouse schemas and data models within a layered architecture.

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Experience with AWS data services including Redshift, Glue, Lambda, S3, and EventBridge.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, emphasizing reliability, testing, and maintainability.

• Capability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions within a specified technical framework.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proven history of managing issues in production environments.
