This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Design, construct, and enhance enterprise data architecture.
• Create scalable, high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines from various source systems to cloud platforms.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for reporting, analytics, and business applications.
• Oversee and modernize enterprise data storage across legacy systems like Teradata and contemporary cloud platforms.
• Apply DevOps and CI/CD best practices for data pipeline management.
• Refine SQL queries, Python scripts, and orchestration workflows to boost throughput and minimize latency.
• Assess and incorporate cutting-edge data technologies, including AI/ML automation and advanced orchestration tools.
• Guide junior team members through mentorship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Consistently advance data capabilities to enable strategic insights and impactful business decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
• At least six years of pertinent experience, showcased through work, military experience, or specialized training.
• A minimum of five years of practical ETL/ELT data pipeline development experience.
• Proven experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and system architecture.
• Expert-level skills in SQL and Python.
• Proficient in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with workflow orchestration and integration tools such as Apache Airflow and Talend.
• Familiarity with traditional data warehouse platforms like Teradata.
• Experience implementing DataOps practices using Git, Jenkins, and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML tools or generative AI techniques in data engineering workflows.
• Cloud or Data Engineering certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work remotely with occasional in-person training and meetings.
