Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform extensive datasets from various sources.

• Apply best practices for performance tuning, partitioning, and clustering to enhance data queries and minimize costs.

• Establish and uphold data quality standards, data governance frameworks, and security protocols for data storage and access.

• Create and refine data models and schemas to cater to analytics, reporting, and machine learning needs.

• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to formulate data solutions that seamlessly integrate with BI tools and machine learning models.

• Produce detailed documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and processes.

• Share best practices and provide mentorship to junior data engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Expertise in Python, particularly in relation to ETL pipelines.

• Strong command of SQL with experience in crafting complex queries.

• Familiarity with pySpark, DBT, or similar frameworks.

• Experience in deploying data pipelines within a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and the creation of data marts.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and product owners.
