This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Under direct supervision, responsible for aiding in the design, development, and maintenance of databases and ETL systems to support business applications and business intelligence for the organization.
• Execute all responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures, investor guidelines, and all applicable US state and federal laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations.
• Design, develop, and enhance data integration processes, ETL workflows, and data platforms, spearheading the creation of technical designs and functional specifications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability while contributing to future cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and external vendors to define, assess, and align business requirements for scalable data integration, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
• Direct the design and development of automated solutions aimed at improving business processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain ETL jobs and lead troubleshooting efforts for critical production issues, participating in off-hours support rotation and providing subject matter expert assistance as necessary.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data platforms, technical designs, and functional specifications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of data processes, reports, applications, and procedures to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and alignment with organizational standards.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable reporting and dashboard solutions to enhance business intelligence, data visualization, and operational efficiency, ensuring the implementation of appropriate security measures.
• Advanced expertise in working within the Microsoft SQL Server environment to design, implement, and optimize enterprise data solutions with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Strong comprehension of ETL concepts, data integration, and transformation processes, with hands-on experience in implementing ETL solutions using Microsoft SSIS.
• Familiarity with version control concepts, and experience utilizing Microsoft DevOps for managing code repositories and collaborative development.
• Must possess expert knowledge to lead and manage SDLC processes.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL programming, scripting, and optimization techniques, with the capability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries and procedures for enterprise-level solutions.
• Ability to comprehend, retain, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
• Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to design and optimize complex data solutions while collaborating effectively across teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required; a bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
• Four (4) or more years of experience in the information technology sector with a significant focus on relational databases, data integration (ETL), data warehousing, business intelligence, report development, and dashboard design.
• Four (4) or more years of experience with ETL tools – specifically SSIS.
• Four (4) or more years of experience with database management systems – MS SQL.
• Strong working knowledge of integrating applications through APIs is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft BI applications (SSRS, SSAS, Power BI) is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database management and integration services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks) to lead and optimize data integration and transformation processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in programming languages typically used in data engineering, such as Python or Java.
