This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines along with ETL/ELT processes.

• Contributing to the design and establishment of a new data platform from the ground up.

• Functioning within a hybrid environment that includes both greenfield and brownfield projects.

• Leading discussions on development and establishing engineering patterns and standards.

• Evaluating and analyzing existing legacy data processes.

• Collaborating with teams across various functions.

• Enhancing the performance, observability, and reliability of data pipelines.

• Assisting in documentation efforts to ensure scalability and promote platform adoption.

• Offering technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

• Serving as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in both internal and client-facing discussions.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in constructing production-grade data systems.

• Extensive experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, preferably AWS.

• Proficient in SQL and data modeling.

• Strong skills in Python engineering.

• Experience with Docker and orchestration frameworks, such as Airflow or similar.

• Background in modernizing or migrating legacy systems.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

• Adequate understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
