Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that enhance enterprise analytics and AI/ML projects.

• Create comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines utilizing industry-standard tools.

• Lead automation efforts and ensure effective transition of solutions into production.

• Maintain compliance with data governance standards (including GxP and HIPAA/GDPR).

• Construct reusable and integrated pipelines along with analytical models to facilitate self-service analytics.

• Offer technical guidance to the team and mentor junior engineers.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data engineering with organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 5–8 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale data solutions (such as data warehouses, data lakes, and operational databases).

• Advanced proficiency in Databricks, Azure Fabric, PySpark, SQL, and Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL Server.

• Strong background in Microsoft Azure data management architectures, including Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Catalogue, as well as related processes like Data Integration, Governance, and Metadata Management.

• Experience with Power BI is essential; familiarity with Tableau or Looker is advantageous.

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD automation, version control (Git), and infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, or Terraform).

• Experience in the life sciences or healthcare sectors is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of GxP, GDPR/HIPAA, and relevant CFR/CTR/CTD regulations.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both IT and business stakeholders while integrating analytics and data science into business workflows.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team while meeting critical deadlines.

• Skills in statistical analysis are a valuable asset.
