Senior Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee enterprise data architecture by defining the technical direction, standards, and priorities for data pipelines, architecture, automation, and governance.

• Create and manage scalable end-to-end pipelines, data models, integrations, APIs, and cloud data warehouse solutions.

• Enhance orchestration, CI/CD, automated data quality, schema management, and self-healing patterns.

• Set standards for data access, security, lineage, metadata, quality, discoverability, and privacy.

• Collaborate with technical and ministry leaders to provide reliable data solutions that support analytics, AI, machine learning, and future digital capabilities.

• Guide and mentor data professionals.

• Develop the data foundation that underpins ministry decisions and operations across a global organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or senior data platform roles.

• Substantial experience in designing enterprise-scale pipelines, data models, integrations, and cloud data platforms.

• Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, and Python.

• Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and Azure services.

• Experience with integrating Salesforce CRM/Marketing Cloud.

• Demonstrated ability to implement data governance, security, RBAC, quality, lineage, metadata, and privacy practices.

• Capability to convert complex business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

• Knowledge of CCPA/GDPR regulations.

• Strong communication skills and technical mentoring abilities.

• SnowPro, dbt, AWS, or Azure certifications are preferred.
