This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and uphold the enterprise data platform architecture, encompassing ingestion, storage, processing, serving, governance, and security.
• Design, model, and simulate intricate business processes utilizing BPMS tools and workflow frameworks.
• Establish and oversee architectural standards, including data contracts, service-level objectives, access controls, and principles of privacy-by-design.
• Develop reference architectures for both enterprise and domain levels to enhance scalability, interoperability, and reuse.
• Design and modernize systems to be compatible with cloud environments or to adopt cloud-native architectures, including strategies for migration.
• Lead architecture evaluations for complex or high-risk projects, assess trade-offs, and mitigate technical and compliance risks.
• Create process architecture documentation, such as workflow diagrams, functional maps, and cross-functional process models.
• Advise on and implement best practices for process orchestration, workflow design, and system integration.
• Ensure alignment of data and process architecture with enterprise architecture, security, IAM, networking, and FinOps practices.
• Assess build-versus-buy decisions, serve as a subject matter expert in BPMS tools and process design patterns, collaborate with stakeholders to test and refine workflows, mentor technical professionals, provide strategic architecture recommendations, support CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices, ensure solutions comply with evolving security requirements and industry standards, and perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, business, or equivalent experience.
• 9-12 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, software architecture, or comparable technical roles.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile software development environments.
• Extensive experience in leading data or solution architecture across various domains or enterprise platforms.
• Strong proficiency in modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, and streaming platforms.
• Experience with business process management systems and workflow modeling tools.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and development, including Java, Node.js, Scala, and serverless frameworks.
• Experience with diverse data storage technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases.
• Significant experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud-native design.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
