This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Act as a trusted consultant to senior leaders in Marketing and Developer Relations, delivering data-driven insights that guide marketing strategies, product development, and market entry decisions.
• Create and expand proactive insights across the Marketing department, including experimentation and linking marketing credits from initial interactions to annual recurring revenue.
• Assess the effectiveness of community programs, developer advocacy, and evangelism initiatives on brand awareness, adoption rates, and sales pipeline.
• Analyze the success of demand generation programs, including trial conversion rates across various segments, lead scoring enhancements, and performance of outreach platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Analytics Engineering and Data Platform teams to convert business inquiries into precise technical specifications and ensure dependable delivery within the analytics framework.
• Assist in advancing GitLab's multi-touch attribution methodology, encompassing defined metrics and their implementation across reporting structures.
• Participate in annual planning cycles in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Product leadership teams.
• Utilize AI-driven analytics processes through GitLab Duo Agent Platform, Claude with MCP integrations, and Glean within GitLab to enhance the development and dissemination of insights.
• Over 5 years of experience in a data analyst or analytics engineer position, ideally in B2B software marketing analytics or a large-scale analytics consultancy catering to similar organizations.
• Strong expertise in SQL, with the capability to integrate varied data sources and create a comprehensive view of marketing program effectiveness in a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
• Experience engaging with senior leaders and customizing data-driven narratives for informed decision-making.
• Practical experience with dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation purposes.
• Solid understanding of B2B marketing funnel metrics, encompassing marketing qualified leads, sales accepted opportunities, pipeline metrics, multi-touch attribution, and conversion rate analysis.
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools like Marketo and customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce, including data integration methodologies and synchronization logic.
• Proficient in using business intelligence and visualization tools, with a preference for Tableau.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI-assisted analytics development, including MCP connections and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of Git workflows for version control, continuous integration and delivery, issue tracking, and merge request processes.
• Comfortable operating in a remote, asynchronous, globally distributed environment.
