Senior Data Analyst

📋 Description

• Conduct in-depth data analysis on extensive and intricate datasets to reveal trends, anomalies, and insights.

• Create sophisticated SQL queries for the purposes of data extraction, transformation, and validation.

• Examine and verify data outputs across various systems and reports to ensure precision.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of data structures and pipeline logic.

• Investigate and address data discrepancies through root cause analysis.

• Develop and maintain analytical datasets and reporting layers for downstream utilization.

• Execute thorough analyses on large datasets to detect trends and business patterns.

• Carry out root cause analysis on data inconsistencies and reporting challenges.

• Work with diverse data sources to reconcile and confirm information.

• Create reusable queries and analytical frameworks.

• Assist with complex ad-hoc analytics and troubleshooting inquiries.

• Design and implement data validation checks (row counts, aggregates, reconciliation).

• Guarantee data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across various systems.

• Validate business logic and outputs of transformations.

• Identify data anomalies and document observations.

• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to resolve data-related issues.

• Maintain data definitions, business rules, and consistency in metrics.

• Support an understanding of data lineage across datasets.

• Contribute to data governance standards and documentation.

• Ensure data is prepared for audits and complies with regulatory requirements.

• Promote uniformity in metric definitions and reporting logic.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or related fields.

• Extensive experience working with enterprise data environments.

• Proven history in data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis.

• Experience collaborating with technical teams (data engineering, platform teams).

• Proficient in advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, complex aggregations).

• Familiarity with handling large datasets in platforms such as Databricks, Synapse, or Snowflake.

• Strong grasp of data structures, schemas, and transformations.

• Understanding of data pipelines and the flow of data across systems.

• Experience utilizing BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).

• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• High level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
