Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-level dashboards utilizing Tableau, engaging with intricate and sensitive datasets.

• Conduct analytical explorations using Python – transform business inquiries into insights and deliver actionable outcomes.

• Utilize fundamental statistical techniques (approximately 10% of workload) to aid data analysis and support decision-making processes.

• Manage data cleaning and preparation activities to guarantee high-quality, reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.

• Construct and refine SQL queries in Snowflake (or BigQuery) for purposes of data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting.

• Comprehend data flows from source systems to reporting, even when API automation is managed by Data Engineers.

• Work in collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide insights.

• Maintain data accuracy and consistency across dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.

• Create documentation for data definitions, logic, and reporting processes to enhance maintainability and knowledge sharing.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and adapt to the evolving needs of the project with flexibility and curiosity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a comparable analytical role.

• Essential skills: Python for analytical tasks (data cleaning, exploration, and insights).

• Tableau for developing dashboards and enterprise-level reporting.

• SQL for querying and validating data.

• Experience with Snowflake (or similar experience with BigQuery).

• Proficiency in Python data cleaning (using pandas or equivalent).

• Strong capability to convert business questions into analytical plans and actionable results.

• Results-driven with a proven history of deriving significant insights from data.

• Experience handling complex and/or sensitive datasets (e.g., salary, HR data is advantageous).

• Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms.

• Basic understanding of statistics and its applications.
