Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as a dependable vCISO advisor for client organizations, delivering strategic leadership in cybersecurity and guidance for their programs.

• Conduct assessments of cybersecurity maturity, identifying gaps and risks based on frameworks such as CMMC, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001, and other relevant standards.

• Create and improve client security programs, including policies, procedures, governance processes, and practices for risk management.

• Perform CMMC readiness assessments, including scoping, reviewing SSPs, developing POA&Ms, and planning remediation efforts.

• Share findings and recommendations with executive leadership, boards, and technical teams.

• Assist clients in navigating compliance initiatives and ongoing security enhancement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in roles such as corporate CISO, Deputy CISO, Director of Information Security, or as a senior leader in cybersecurity.

• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

• Proven track record in conducting security assessments, risk evaluations, and compliance readiness initiatives.

• Strong preference for candidates with in-depth knowledge of CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-facing consulting abilities.

• Possession of certifications such as CMMC Certified Professional (CCP), Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or other equivalent cybersecurity credentials.
