This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Set up customer accounts; tailor backup policies and storage solutions; assist with onboarding; guide stakeholders; navigate admin portals; present support channels.
• Pinpoint migration possibilities; evaluate usage and environment; hold success planning and strategy discussions; align business goals with product integration.
• Perform assessments; create protection strategies; suggest software products and architectures within the Veeam Data Platform.
• Execute recovery simulations; utilize the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to monitor and report on resilience posture; provide quarterly resilience reports.
• Track signals to identify churn risk early; establish mitigation strategies; collaborate on renewal tactics with actionable technical insights.
• Develop business cases; define total cost of ownership (TCO); communicate value propositions for growth; arrange checkpoint reviews with stakeholders.
• Engage with CISO/CIO stakeholders by providing clear updates on risk, status, and opportunities; support context for executive discussions and alignment with the roadmap.
• Collaborate on marketing-driven campaigns and initiatives to promote adoption and growth.
• Work within a long-term account assignment model linked to annual recurring revenue (ARR) and growth potential, typically managing 5–50 Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
• Take ownership of the technical success plan and adoption roadmap; influence pricing, commercial terms, and renewal conditions in coordination with Sales and Customer Success leadership.
• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery (e.g., Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager); this is considered a mid-level position.
• Practical experience across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery and resiliency best practices.
• Significant experience in designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations; familiarity with Veeam platform features is advantageous.
• VMCE certification is mandatory (may be obtained post-hire within an agreed timeframe).
• Preferred industry certifications include AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Solutions Architect Expert.
• Demonstrated ability to convert business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and quantifiable value.
• Skills in engaging with executive stakeholders (CISO/CIO) and the ability to distill technical, business, and risk signals into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
