This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Set up customer accounts; personalize backup policies and storage; support onboarding processes; guide stakeholders; navigate admin portals; introduce support options.
• Discover migration possibilities; evaluate usage and environment; facilitate success planning and strategic sessions; align product adoption with business objectives.
• Perform assessments; create protection strategies; recommend software products and architectures within the Veeam Data Platform.
• Execute recovery simulations; utilize the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to monitor and report resilience status; provide quarterly resilience updates.
• Track signals to identify churn risk early; establish mitigation strategies; collaborate on renewal tactics with actionable technical insights.
• Develop business cases; define total cost of ownership (TCO); communicate value propositions for growth; arrange checkpoint reviews with stakeholders.
• Engage with CISO/CIO stakeholders by providing clear updates on risks, status, and opportunities; assist in preparing for executive discussions and aligning roadmaps.
• Collaborate on marketing-driven campaigns and initiatives to enhance adoption and expansion.
• Work under a long-term account assignment model linked to annual recurring revenue (ARR) and growth potential, typically managing 5–50 Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
• Take ownership of the technical success plan and adoption strategy; influence pricing, commercial terms, and renewal conditions in partnership with Sales and Customer Success leadership.
• Over 5 years in customer-facing engineering roles concentrated on data backup and recovery (e.g., Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager); this is a mid-level position.
• Practical expertise in operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and best practices in disaster recovery and resilience (DR&R).
• Strong background in designing and implementing protection strategies, migrations, and recovery simulations; familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is advantageous.
• VMCE certification is mandatory (can be obtained post-hire within an agreed timeframe).
• Industry certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
• Demonstrated ability to convert business outcomes into technical adoption plans and measurable value.
• Skills in engaging executive stakeholders (CISO/CIO) with a capability to distill technical, business, and risk signals into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
