Senior Curation Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Explore scientific information sources for integration into QIAGEN applications.

• Collaborate with product and requirement owners to ensure appropriate usage of information within applications.

• Develop and enhance curation protocols, tools, and processes alongside internal curation teams.

• Research and sustain the N-of-One MarkerMine KnowledgeBase utilized for generating client reports.

• Investigate and evaluate published scientific and clinical data.

• Engage in communication with scientists and oncologists.

• Produce precise content and literature/data summaries for the knowledgebase.

• Compile data into reports tailored for cancer patients and healthcare providers.

• Review clinical trial documentation.

• Submit reports within established deadlines while working efficiently as part of the team.

• Attend weekly science meetings as appropriate.

• Provide training to new scientists as necessary.

• Assist in the formulation of quality assurance policies for knowledgebase content as required.

• Support the development of clinical products as needed.

• Engage in consultations with healthcare professionals and scientists regarding research and applications for cancer patients.

• Keep accurate work records and manage data entry effectively.

• Uphold high-quality, efficient client services while maintaining confidentiality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of post-graduate experience is preferred.

• Comprehension of somatic alterations in cancer and their implications for disease and treatment sensitivity/resistance.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and documentation abilities.

• Capacity to coordinate tasks and manage time effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize resources efficiently and effectively.

• Ability to foster positive team morale and a spirit of collaboration.

• Maintain current, accurate written work records and relevant data entry aligned with company standards.

• Adhere to the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality concerning client, scientific, and company issues.
