Senior Credit Risk Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create credit and fraud strategies aimed at enhancing credit performance by leveraging data, machine learning models, and advanced analytics tools to optimize risk decisions.

• Utilize innovative and unconventional thinking to offer recommendations and tackle problems.

• Design A/B tests while comprehending the trade-offs between risk and customer experience.

• Continue to innovate by experimenting with new data, analytics techniques, and models.

• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and other partner teams to deploy credit and fraud prevention strategies, testing and validating pre and post-performance.

• Perform ad-hoc analyses pertaining to risk management, product, and operations.

• Continuously analyze portfolio performance at a detailed segment level.

• Identify trends and perform root-cause analysis to pinpoint key performance drivers.

• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to the Risk Management team and the broader Prosper community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics.

• 3+ years of experience with a Master’s or 5+ years with a Bachelor’s in managing credit risk and/or fraud and/or data science within the consumer lending industry; experience in consumer personal loans or credit cards is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in SQL and Python; experience with DBT and Looker is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to convey technical subject matter clearly and concisely to team members and senior management.

• Knowledge and experience in segmentation, statistical procedures, and financial analytic tools are essential.

• Inquisitive mindset with a willingness to ask questions, delve into reasons, and challenge the status quo.

• Strong sense of ownership and motivation to drive business results.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

• Candidates without financial services experience but possessing a robust technology background and analytical skills will also be considered.

• Self-starter with comfort in navigating ambiguity.
