This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver first-line client-focused legal assistance to our North America Sales teams regarding commercial and legal matters.
• Analyze and negotiate various commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, master services agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, and statements of work.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Deal Desk stakeholders to grasp business objectives and challenges, driving strategic enhancements.
• Work alongside internal technology teams to develop AI-driven tools and processes that create business value.
• Partner with other legal, compliance, and cross-functional teams to address customer needs while effectively managing HubSpot’s risk.
• Must hold a degree from an accredited law school.
• Possess at least 3+ years of relevant in-house legal experience.
• Be in good standing and licensed to practice law as a member of a State Bar Association or possess an equivalent professional qualification.
• Have substantial experience in independently negotiating Enterprise SaaS contracts; experience in highly regulated sectors (e.g., Financial Services and Healthcare) is advantageous.
• Exhibit excellent legal drafting and writing abilities.
• Have a solid understanding of data protection and privacy regulations.
• Show enthusiasm for collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders to comprehend strategic aims and provide informed recommendations to meet business goals.
• Be capable of making decisions and articulating the rationale behind those decisions to a curious and empowered team.
• Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, transparent environment.
• Be excited to create solutions that extend beyond existing frameworks and enablement.
• Value the customer perspective and adopt a ‘solve for the customer’ approach.
• Integrate technology and utilize/build AI in daily practices to work smarter, not harder.
• Build strong relationships based on trust with team members.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, particularly through internal tools like Slack and Zoom (our primary communication methods).
• Be self-motivated and solution-oriented.
• The cash compensation mentioned includes base salary, on-target commission for eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for qualifying positions.
• In addition to cash compensation, certain roles may have the opportunity to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
