This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create long-form copy for the customer journeys owned by Forbes, which includes advertorials, landing pages, in-funnel page content, and persuasive on-page elements.
• Develop Video Sales Letters (VSLs) tailored for paid social media, native advertising, and YouTube placements, especially in areas such as Weight Loss, Debt Relief, Pet Insurance, and other categories that require direct-response strategies.
• Take ownership of customer-lifecycle email copy for Forbes-owned journeys, including long-form sales emails, autoresponder sequences, nurture flows, and re-engagement campaigns.
• Ensure consistency in need-state and messaging from advertisements to advertorials to landing pages, creating a seamless customer journey that flows as one cohesive persuasive narrative.
• Work effectively within compliance guidelines, aligning persuasion strategies with compliance requirements rather than creating conflicts.
• Collaborate with vertical General Managers, Customer Insights, and Data partners to ground copy in genuine consumer triggers and performance insights.
• Produce multiple drafts weekly and iterate based on data rather than personal opinion.
• Regularly update the Creative leadership team on copy performance and develop initiatives to enhance craft.
• Occasionally work alongside Creative Leads on ad copy, contributing hooks, angles, and headline strategies that enhance the customer journey.
• Over 7 years of experience in long-form direct-response copywriting within performance-oriented environments (DTC, supplements, FinServ DR, health DR, or similar fields).
• A portfolio showcasing advertorials, VSLs, sales pages, or long-form sales emails with clear metrics of performance attribution.
• Expertise in long-form persuasion architecture, including hook creation, storytelling, mechanism, proof, transitions, and calls to action.
• Proficient understanding of modern direct-response principles.
• Fluency in AI-augmented writing techniques.
• Regular utilization of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable tools) for research, drafting, iteration, and structured prompting across long-form formats.
• A strong editorial voice.
• Proven experience in email and CRM copywriting, including long-form sales emails, autoresponder sequences, and nurture flows.
• Portfolio must feature email work in addition to long-form direct-response samples.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high volume and speed in performance marketing settings.
• Excellent collaboration skills across Creative, Buying, vertical GMs, Editorial, and Brand teams.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a start-up style environment.
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
• Direct experience with GLP-1, weight loss, debt relief, insurance, or similar regulated direct-response categories.
• Knowledge of quiz funnel and branching-narrative copy techniques.
• Familiarity with the publisher and native-ad ecosystem (Outbrain, Taboola, sponsored content).
• Comfort with reading performance dashboards (Looker, Tableau, in-platform reporting).
• Experience in creating reusable AI workflows for copy production, including templates, Claude Projects or custom GPTs, prompt libraries, or agentic tools that enhance output without compromising quality.
