
Senior Consultant – Smart Buildings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of comprehensive technology solutions for intricate building environments.
• Support clients from the initial concept stage (Basis of Design) through to design documentation, vendor selection, implementation supervision, and post-occupancy optimization.
• Act as the client’s trusted advisor throughout the entire project lifecycle—ensuring that smart building strategies are in harmony with operational priorities, user requirements, and long-term facility aspirations.
• Conduct early-stage stakeholder workshops to establish project vision, desired outcomes, and smart building use cases.
• Convert operational and facility objectives into actionable smart building strategies and technical roadmaps.
• Create and present executive-level briefings and decision support materials to align client teams with key milestones.
• Foster long-term client relationships by providing continuous support beyond project completion.
• Lead the creation of smart building Basis of Design (BoD) documents, incorporating feedback from IT, facilities, operations, and design teams.
• Work in collaboration with architects, engineers, and low-voltage/system designers to ensure that smart building strategies are thoroughly integrated into design documentation.
• Formulate system-level integration strategies and/or detailed design solutions as necessary for technology implementation.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Computer, Technology, or a related field) is required.
• At least 5+ years of experience in delivering smart building, technology integration, or digital infrastructure projects is required.
• Proven experience in the design and execution of technology within the built environment.
• Knowledge of building systems and digital technologies such as BMS, RTLS, access control, scheduling, environmental monitoring, IoT platforms/devices, and user experience tools.
• Strong project management capabilities, including managing timelines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a track record of engaging diverse client audiences—from operations teams to IT directors.
• Proficiency in developing technical requirements, interface diagrams, and deliverables that comply with regulatory, compliance, and security standards.
• Experience in procurement processes and vendor management.
• Willingness to travel for important client meetings and site assessments.
• Experience in Healthcare or Science & Technology sectors, with a familiarity in clinical workflows, laboratory systems, or research facility operations is preferred.
