
Senior Consultant – Economic Damages, Valuations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct forensic accounting evaluations in family law and matrimonial cases.
• Review personal and business financial documents, such as bank statements, general ledgers, tax returns, and QuickBooks files.
• Trace income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, while identifying potential hidden or dissipated assets.
• Prepare analyses related to lifestyle, income, net worth, and cash flow reconstructions.
• Assist with business valuation assignments.
• Create expert reports, schedules, exhibits, and various litigation support documents.
• Provide support to directors during discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Keep well-organized workpapers and adhere to court and litigation deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5+ years of forensic accounting experience with significant exposure to family law.
• Strong knowledge of equitable distribution, income available for support, tracing separate versus marital property, business owner compensation analysis, as well as cash flow and lifestyle analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and financial analysis software.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written communication abilities.
• Capable of working independently in a fully remote setting.
• A Master’s Degree and proficiency in Spanish are highly preferred.
• CPA; CFF, CVA, CDFA, or CFE designation is strongly preferred or currently in progress.
• Experience with business valuation tasks.
