Senior Configuration Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee or manage a team of configuration management experts.

• Provide control over configuration baselines throughout the lifecycle of intricate information systems and their software and hardware components.

• Facilitate and offer guidance to Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).

• Maintain control over allocated, functional, and physical baselines.

• Support audit processes.

• Evaluate engineering change requests to determine their impact on configuration baselines and logistics support elements.

• Keep configuration control records and technical documentation updated.

• Work in partnership with quality assurance and management representatives to ensure product baselines are accurate and well-documented.

• Draft directives for change authorization and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven capability to lead or manage a team of configuration management specialists.

• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in maintaining configuration baseline control across the lifecycle of complex information systems and their software and hardware components.

• Ability to facilitate and provide advice to Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).

• Skill in maintaining allocated, functional, and physical baseline control.

• Proficiency in providing audit support.

• Capability to assess engineering change requests for their impact on configuration baselines and logistics support elements.

• Ability to manage configuration control records and technical documents effectively.

• Proven ability to collaborate with quality assurance and management representatives.

• Must have IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.

• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as CMII, PMP, Certified Manager Certification (CM), SEMC, or ITIL.
