Senior Compliance Analyst, Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Offer assistance in the domains of export controls, research conflict of interest, and research security.

• Recognize, assess, monitor, and relay information regarding new and emerging federal, state, and sponsor research security legislation, policies, requirements, and resources.

• Analyze complex regulatory guidelines and present clear recommendations to University leadership, researchers, and staff.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and institutional regulations.

• Deliver high-level support concerning research security, export controls, and research conflict of interest aspects of sponsored projects.

• Perform initial evaluations of international outside activities and agreements to determine research security and compliance implications.

• Review travel disclosures and provide briefings as necessary.

• Assist in the creation, revision, and execution of University policies, guidance documents, and resources.

• Create educational materials and offer outreach, training, and advisory support to researchers and staff to enhance awareness and compliance.

• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on mitigation and best practices.

• Oversee program management for sponsored projects, including coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders, supporting recruitment efforts, and generating reports, products, and resources.

• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment while ensuring precision and attention to detail.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in federal and/or academic research security, export controls, and/or research conflict of interest; federal research regulatory analysis and compliance, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant federal research security, export controls, and/or conflict of interest legislation, policies, and guidance.
