Research Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough research and validate information on companies, industries, and markets across various business topics.

• Ensure continuous monitoring of pertinent developments over time, rather than merely responding to isolated inquiries.

• Transform raw data into coherent, organized written briefs and summaries, converting facts into actionable business insights.

• Assist in gathering company, market, and competitive intelligence relevant to the firm's primary activities.

• Organize and maintain research files and reference materials for future use.

• Address ad hoc research requests with high accuracy and promptness.

• Play a role in enhancing research processes and documentation over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Authentic, hands-on experience in market or business research (a background in competitive intelligence, strategy/commercial research, or a related analytical area is advantageous, but not a substitute).

• Proven capability to research and verify information from diverse sources quickly and accurately.

• Demonstrated ability to create a clean, well-structured, decision-ready brief.

• Proficiency with research databases, company/industry data sources, and standard spreadsheet/office tools.

• Excellent written English skills and the ability to clearly present findings.

• Comfortable managing multiple research requests and adapting to changing priorities.
