Senior Cloud/Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Implement and maintain our service infrastructure within Kubernetes.

• Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies for key projects and subsequently develop them.

• Assist other teams and developers in creating robust and scalable systems.

• Enhance and optimize various databases for better performance.

• Develop internal tools that boost developer productivity.

• Ensure observability, monitoring, and transparency across our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the New York tri-state area.

• Over 3 years of experience as an independent backend or infrastructure engineer.

• Proficient in designing and constructing scalable, dependable systems.

• Possess a hands-on builder mindset — this is a coding-focused position.

• Familiarity with:

• Relational and non-relational databases.

• Major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), with a preference for GCP.

• Streaming systems.

• Scaling extensive systems.

• Message queuing technologies.

• Monitoring tools such as DataDog, Grafana, and Groundcover.

• CI/CD processes and Git.

• Bonus Skills: Experience with Kubernetes and Knative (in a production environment) & ClickHouse.
