Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the ongoing vulnerability remediation process within cloud environments.

• Utilize outputs from security tools (CSPM, Wiz, Palo Alto Prisma) to implement solutions in production.

• Execute updates at the image, server, and patch levels.

• Collaborate closely with development teams regarding testing, deployment, and releases.

• Manage compliance mapping and validation for SOC 2.

• Perform access control audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

• Make independent technical decisions with minimal supervision.

• Work directly alongside the security team (Linda, Fausto, Gerald).

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in DevOps and cloud operations.

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.

• Demonstrated proficiency in vulnerability remediation and implementation (beyond just identification).

• Familiarity with security tools such as CSPM, Wiz, or Palo Alto Prisma.

• Comprehensive understanding of: infrastructure and application security controls, patch management and system hardening, as well as access control and compliance practices (SOC 2).

• Experience in collaboration with engineering and security teams.

• Capability to work autonomously and make technical decisions.
