AWS Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee scalable, highly available, and disaster-resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure (EC2, S3, RDS, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, networking, and Kubernetes)

• Provision and automate cloud resources utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI/portal

• Establish cloud security measures including IAM/access management, encryption, network segmentation, and adherence to compliance best practices

• Monitor cloud environments, diagnose performance and availability challenges, and execute alerting and operational enhancements

• Integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and facilitate application deployments with minimal downtime

• Deploy and manage containerized workloads through Docker and Kubernetes

• Work collaboratively with development teams to convert application needs into cloud-native solutions

• Contribute to team goals and take on additional duties as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

• At least 5 years of relevant experience is necessary

• Proficiency with AWS and Azure core services: compute, storage, networking, databases, and security

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates

• Skilled in scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/container orchestration

• Understanding of CI/CD tools and methodologies, including GitHub Actions

• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking (subnetting, routing, load balancing, VPNs), and compliance principles

• Capable of diagnosing and addressing complex cloud infrastructure and deployment challenges

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a cross-functional setting
