This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Spearhead the modernization of infrastructure - oversee the shift from a hybrid on-premises and Azure setup to a fully cloud-native, domain-free ecosystem; manage Azure and AWS workloads beyond the DevOps realm; lead identity and platform unification as the organization progresses.
• Manage identity governance comprehensively - Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, Azure AD Connect, conditional access, and access lifecycle.
• Oversee the complete Microsoft 365 tenant, which includes Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and licensing; manage Intune and Autopilot for endpoint lifecycle management across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Supervise the foundational systems administration layer that supports the organization - Windows Server, Hyper-V, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patch management, firmware updates, and backup management.
• Develop and maintain automation that enhances organizational agility - utilizing PowerShell, API integrations, and AI-assisted development to minimize manual tasks and expedite delivery.
• Manage network infrastructure across all office locations - including Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, VLANs, DHCP, ISP management, and VPN connectivity; maintain PRTG monitoring and proactively address infrastructure health concerns; ensure firmware is up-to-date across all network hardware.
• Assess, recommend, and lead the transition to a modern cloud telephony solution; manage the existing phone system throughout the transition, including user provisioning, call routing, and licensing.
• Collaborate with the DevOps, helpdesk, and security teams on intricate escalations, pinpoint root causes instead of merely addressing symptoms, and construct solutions that avert recurring issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience; certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft AZ-104, or MS-102 are highly advantageous.
• Over 5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering, with significant exposure to hybrid Windows and Azure environments; you have practical sysadmin experience and are familiar with modern cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure is essential - including Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Files, Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, and IaaS VM administration; substantial Microsoft 365 administration expertise spanning Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Autopilot.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, including Microsoft Graph API, Active Directory automation, and Exchange Online management; comfortable with API integrations and scripted workflows; experience with AI tools to enhance engineering processes.
• Solid background in on-premises Windows Server, including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy; comfortable managing legacy infrastructure safely while transitioning to improved solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup platforms and restore validation practices; working knowledge of Cisco Meraki or similar enterprise network platforms.
• Strong security awareness with sound judgment regarding security decisions; familiarity with SOC 2 or comparable compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with AWS is advantageous—legacy workloads are present in AWS; disciplined in change management and documenting infrastructure modifications prior to implementation.
• Bonus potential of 10% annually.
