Senior Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud.

• Transition applications from on-premise settings or alternative cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to GCP.

• Engage in application modernization utilizing containers, Kubernetes, and serverless solutions.

• Diagnose intricate systems spanning infrastructure, networking, databases, and applications.

• Collaborate closely with customer teams to influence architectural and technical choices.

• Develop automation and infrastructure as code using contemporary tools.

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor, providing clarity on complex issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience working with a leading public cloud platform (GCP preferred).

• Proven experience in migrating applications from data centers or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to Google Cloud.

• Strong practical experience in constructing and deploying cloud infrastructure.

• Comprehensive understanding of fundamental infrastructure components, including:

• Networking (VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).

• Compute and storage systems.

• Databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Application architecture and system interactions.

• Experience with traditional data center environments (VMware, physical servers, storage, networking).

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation.

• Proficiency in scripting in at least one language (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is advantageous.

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and conveying technical concepts.
