Senior Cloud Engineer – DevOps, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain GCP infrastructure utilizing Terraform, encompassing IAM policies, networking, and environment provisioning.

• Create and oversee CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins for automated testing, deployment, and ensuring environment consistency.

• Enhance infrastructure observability through effective monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.

• Work alongside data and software engineers to allocate and optimize resources for applications, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Collaborate with external infrastructure support teams to resolve issues, implement new architectures, and ensure compliance with best practices.

• Contribute to the documentation of infrastructure, participate in design reviews, and promote continuous improvement of internal cloud standards.

• Guarantee that the infrastructure remains secure, cost-effective, and reproducible, in alignment with contemporary DevOps and cloud reliability principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.

• Robust experience in managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, including IAM, networking, and project structuring. Open to candidates with AWS and Azure experience willing to learn GCP.

• Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern deployment workflows.

• Experience in supporting data and analytics workloads (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt) is a plus.

• Proficient in scripting with Python or Bash for automation and tooling purposes.
