Senior Cloud Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure for our Totara Hosting solution.

• Enhance platform capabilities and introduce new features to cater to the changing needs of clients.

• Deliver expert technical support, including participation in an on-call rotation to ensure availability beyond standard working hours.

• Collaborate across teams, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Develop a highly automated, secure, and resilient hosting platform that supports thousands of learning sites across various regions.

• Mentor and assist team members, promoting growth and continuous improvement in your role as a Senior Cloud Engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with AWS services: EC2, EKS, SES, ECR, RDS, S3, WAF.

• Practical expertise with Kubernetes in live environments.

• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Proficient with Linux distributions (Alpine, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).

• Experience in managing PostgreSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control systems.

• Experience in designing and constructing CI/CD pipelines.

• Awareness of DevOps principles and cloud security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Experience implementing multi-tenanted SaaS or PaaS solutions (bonus).

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) (bonus).

• Understanding of Linux containers, particularly containerd (bonus).

• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) (bonus).
