Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• We aim to enhance our Platform team.

• This team is tasked with a wide array of services for our developers and other departments, including the construction and management of Kubernetes clusters.

• Development and maintenance of internal systems are also part of our responsibilities.

• We focus on creating and managing operational tools.

• Our team supports development teams by providing various analyses and addressing the operational challenges of running our applications.

• We assist external clients with the implementation of our application.

⛳️ Requirements

• You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps engineer or in a similar position.

• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, a desire to learn, and the ability to deliver practical, clean solutions are essential.

• You must be proficient in operating and scaling SaaS platforms while maintaining performance, high availability, data security, cost efficiency, and reliability.

• Experience in the architecture and design of complex cloud-native systems is necessary, along with the ability to establish best practices and standards across teams.

• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes (EKS, self-managed clusters, networking, security, scaling), Terraform (Infrastructure as Code, modular & multi-cloud strategies), Docker & Helm (containerization and application deployment) is required.

• Knowledge of automation, observability, and delivery tools is important: scripting (preferably Ruby, but also Python/Bash), Go, application monitoring & logging (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, metrics, alerting), CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, automation), and networking technologies (VPCs, routing, load balancers, DNS).
