Lead Engineer, Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Modernizing, integrating, and enhancing the foundational data ecosystem at Dutch Bro.

• Creating top-tier data platforms that fuel analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven workflows.

• Designing and implementing highly scalable and robust data infrastructure.

• Evaluating, designing, constructing, and maintaining data pipelines.

• Effectively developing and deploying production-grade data solutions using Snowflake.

• Designing and refining ETL/ELT pipelines along with data transformations.

• Implementing dimensional and data products.

• Developing and sustaining data engineering frameworks that facilitate machine learning workflows and intricate data analyses.

• Clearly articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data and/or software engineering.

• At least 4 years of extensive experience with Python and SQL.

• Proficient, hands-on experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and Power BI.

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services.

• Experience with real-time ETL/ELT and Big Data pipelines.

• Expertise in implementing automated CI/CD pipelines.

• A passion for POC/designing RAG architecture, vector databases, or integrating LLMs into data pipelines (preferred).

• Familiarity with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.

• Experience in Data Governance, including Data Quality, Metadata management, Data Security, and Data Archiving (preferred).
