This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You assess intricate client infrastructures, translating their needs, limitations, and operational models into cloud-based disaster recovery strategies.
• You conduct on-site evaluations of client processes alongside the associated IT resources and dependencies.
• You devise the suitable recovery architecture—whether it be active/standby, traditional disaster recovery, or a complete greenfield reconstruction—and implement it effectively.
• You validate, test, and maintain the operational status of the environment.
• You collaborate with our Business Continuity Management (BCM) team to create the recovery/runbook.
• You actively engage in presales efforts: articulating and positioning technical solutions persuasively, while representing them to clients alongside the sales team.
• You proactively identify situations where client environments need special attention, crafting practical solutions rather than idealized architectures.
• You share your expertise within the team, assisting colleagues in navigating complex client scenarios, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our technical delivery standards.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Microsoft stack (Entra ID, Intune, M365, Azure) in both design and implementation.
• Profound understanding of hybrid infrastructures: including Active Directory, network topology, and connectivity through Azure VPN, ExpressRoute, or Entra Connect, with the ability to ascertain which workloads can be replicated in a disaster recovery setting, can transition to the cloud, or need to be reconstructed.
• Familiarity with STACKIT or Google Workspace / Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
• Strong security knowledge within an infrastructure context: encompassing network segmentation, identity and access management, secure configuration of cloud resources, data protection in disaster recovery operations, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience across the entire disaster recovery lifecycle: including design, technical implementation, validation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of disaster recovery environments.
• Trust-based vacation – you determine, in addition to the statutory minimum leave, how much time off you require.
• Work & Sleep in our modern office apartments located in Düsseldorf and Vienna.
• 100% remote – you can work up to 182 days per year from another EU country.
• Mental health program "OpenUp Family" – available for you and up to three additional loved ones.
• €50 monthly internet allowance.
• €20 monthly food delivery credit (Lieferando).
• Access to a water shop with cool merchandise.
• Corporate benefits for fashion, travel, technology, and more.
• Company health insurance that includes dental coverage and cancer screening scans.
• Company pension plan with a 25% employer contribution (increasing after 3 and 5 years).
• JobRad (company bike lease).
• Edenred cash card providing a €44 per month tax-free fringe benefit, or corporate fitness via EGYM Wellpass.
