Senior Clinical Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for Product Support regarding the Opsens product portfolio.

• Offer advanced clinical and technical assistance to physicians, cath lab staff, field employees, distributors, and internal teams.

• Diagnose intricate product, procedural, and clinical issues related to pressure guidewire technology and associated SGT systems.

• Assist in product commercialization efforts, including new product launches, evaluations, installations, and customer implementations.

• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and Quality to relay customer feedback, identify product enhancements, and support ongoing product development.

• Create and deliver clinical and technical training for customers, Product Support Engineers, Field Service Engineers, and commercial teams.

• Address field escalations and provide remote support during complex customer scenarios.

• Engage in product investigations, complaint reviews, and root cause analysis activities.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, and training materials.

• Take part in cross-functional projects aimed at product enhancements, process improvements, and commercialization efforts.

• Record customer interactions and technical findings within Salesforce and other necessary business systems.

• Participate in scheduled hotline support and after-hours assistance as needed.

• Travel up to 40% for training, product launches, and internal meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Cardiovascular Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related healthcare field, or equivalent clinical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in an interventional cardiology/cath lab setting.

• In-depth knowledge of cath lab workflows and interventional cardiology procedures.

• Strong understanding of pressure guidewire technology, hemodynamic monitoring, and relevant clinical applications.

• Effective communication skills with physicians, nurses, technologists, and hospital leadership.

• Proven clinical problem-solving abilities in a dynamic procedural environment.

• Capacity to simplify complex technical ideas into actionable clinical advice.

• Strong presentation and training capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in supporting interventional cardiology devices or medical technologies.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with physicians during interventional procedures.

• Current or previous experience as an RN, RCIS, Cath Lab Technologist, or Cardiovascular Technologist is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with pressure guidewire technology, FFR/iFR physiology systems, or other interventional cardiovascular devices is preferred.

• Previous clinical education or product support experience with medical device manufacturers is preferred.

• Experience in supporting commercialization or new product launches is preferred.

• Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations and complaint handling processes is preferred.

• Experience in developing clinical education programs or technical documentation is preferred.

• Bilingual in English/French or English/Spanish is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% is required.
