Senior Clinical Research Manager, Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with investigators and exercise independent judgment in guiding the research activities.

• Engage in scientific discussions with collaborators, principal investigators, and funding organizations, contributing to decisions that affect research conduct.

• Accountable for the recruitment, education, training, and oversight of clinical research coordinators and regulatory personnel within the program.

• Responsible for the creation and implementation of policies and procedures governing clinical research within the program.

• Promote effective teamwork among all involved personnel, including research staff, research nursing, data management, regulatory personnel, and hospital staff.

• Ensure responsible conduct of clinical research protocols throughout their lifecycle, covering development, implementation, maintenance, and termination.

• Collaborate with principal investigators on the development and evaluation of research protocols, including reviewing and assessing new protocols for clarity, thoroughness, financial, and logistical feasibility, while ensuring subject safety.

• Oversee the preparation and submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and serve as a liaison for regulatory matters on behalf of the principal investigator.

• Manage the generation of clinical research budgets and oversee financial management of the program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

• Six years of related experience in clinical research within an academic, government, or pharmaceutical industry setting.

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience.

• Advanced knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)/International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines and relevant local regulations.

• Additional education may be considered as a substitute for the required experience.
