Senior Clinical Data Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Extract data from open text notes.

• Accurately and thoroughly identify and manually extract pathology, treatment, and other clinical data from open text medical notes.

• Collaborate on the creation and upkeep of documentation regarding data definitions and abstraction procedures.

• Maintain the EDC database for specific disease areas.

• Employ critical thinking to spot potential issues impacting the abstraction process for enhancement and quality assurance.

• Conduct quality reviews on the work done by fellow data abstractors.

• Analyze data quality dashboards and implement necessary corrections.

• Respond to data quality inquiries from a multidisciplinary team including data scientists, bioinformaticians, and clinical scientists.

• Oversee process documentation.

• Translate healthcare and clinical concepts for data engineering purposes.

• Coordinate with clinicians to clarify abstraction procedures and clinical concepts.

• Assist the multidisciplinary team with automated abstraction tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field.

• Familiarity with and regular application of medical terminology.

• At least 2 years of experience in manual data abstraction or chart review from EHR source documents such as open text notes.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Eager to learn and willing to ask questions.

• Demonstrate high levels of curiosity, initiative, and self-motivation.

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
