Senior Clinical Access Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct brief mental health assessments, triage, and gather collateral clinical information for adolescents, young adults, and families through telehealth.

• Ensure timely and high-quality documentation and follow-up for every clinical interaction.

• Assess clinical fit, risk levels, and determine appropriate next steps—either within Flourish or through external referrals.

• Act as the clinical subject matter expert regarding state-specific contracts, admission pathways, eligibility criteria, and referral processes.

• Liaise with referral sources, managed care organizations, state agencies, juvenile justice programs, child welfare agencies, and other external parties to facilitate admissions and ensure a smooth intake process.

• Monitor and manage contract-specific admission requirements, timelines, and documentation needs to uphold compliance and operational excellence.

• Be a reliable team resource concerning contract obligations, referral expectations, and complex admission situations.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, care advocates, and operations partners.

• Utilize clinical judgment to engage families where they are—encouraging participation while establishing appropriate clinical boundaries.

• Assist in covering the full-time assessment role during PTO and support clinical administrative tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in a clinical discipline, fully licensed for a minimum of 2 years (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCMHC, or equivalent).

• Over 8 years of relevant patient experience or equivalent performance.

• Experience in conducting brief assessments and/or triage, preferably in a remote or telehealth environment.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to changing workflows in a growing organization.

• Experience in communicating with external stakeholders.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Attendance at more than 2 in-person events per year is required.
