This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the recurring Client Accounting reporting and processing, which includes reviewing, maintaining, resolving issues, and following up.
• Implement interproject billing procedures and assist in the precise allocation of activities among projects.
• Aid in the calculations of foreign currency gain/loss, invoice posting requirements, and ensure billing accuracy.
• Sustain essential billing and operational data to facilitate accurate client, project, fleet, and trip activities.
• Prepare draft invoices at month-end, including drafts for contract invoices.
• Manage month-end tracking tools, communicate deadlines, and follow up on matters needing attention during the closing process.
• Execute rebill margin calculations, accounting entries, reconciliations, and related adjustments for month-end close.
• Take responsibility for the opening and closing of Client BU modules to support month-end close activities.
• Maintain and refresh the Client Accounting Knowledge Base and SharePoint resources.
• Handle non-standard, one-off, and exception-based workflows in Client Accounting.
• Spot opportunities to enhance, standardize, and document Client Accounting procedures.
• Offer continuous support for expense management processes, including Emburse assistance and transition support for upcoming systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address billing discrepancies, credit tracking issues, system problems, and data inconsistencies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 4–7+ years of experience in accounting, billing, financial operations, or a related field.
• Strong comprehension of month-end closing processes, accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, billing systems, expense management systems, and complex data environments.
• Proficient in Excel with robust analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with the capability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and recurring tasks.
• Proven ability to identify problems, investigate discrepancies, and drive resolutions.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments.
• Previous experience with process documentation, system transitions, or workflow enhancements is preferred.
