Senior Claims Property Field Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Manages personal and commercial lines claims of moderate to significant complexity.

• Capable of overseeing large losses in accordance with workload demands.

• Conducts both onsite and virtual inspections to address coverage and damage concerns, including preparing comprehensive repair estimates for covered damages.

• Records all claim-related activities to support the claim file.

• Ensures a high level of policyholder satisfaction by adhering to established service standards.

• Investigates and assesses onsite to resolve intricate coverage and damage issues, including preparing detailed repair estimates for the covered damages.

• Clarifies coverage details, assists policyholders with damage itemization, emergency repairs, and alternative living arrangements.

• Collaborates with and may coordinate various vendor services, such as contractors, emergency repairs, cleaning services, and experts.

• Establishes alignment on policies and procedures among vendors for managing losses.

• Acts as a technical subject matter expert within the department.

• Identifies trends and shares best practices within the group and across the line of business.

• Participates actively in the catastrophe team, which may necessitate overnight travel on short notice for potentially extended durations.

• Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, internal partners, and others.

• Fosters a positive work environment by positively influencing colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education, along with 3-5 years of preferred claims experience.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

• Must have the ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in using personal computers and application technology.

• Proven ability to engage with customers and agents in a professional manner.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

• Capable of lifting 40-50 pounds, climbing on roofs, and working in confined spaces.

• A state-specific adjusters’ license may be necessary.
