This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee research data analysts and collaborate with principal investigators to analyze and manage study data.
• Partner with investigators on research initiatives, taking primary responsibility for data analysis and presentation.
• Integrate and analyze biodata from various sources.
• Offer expertise in statistical design, data management, and data analysis.
• Contribute to the formulation and application of statistical methods to support the scientific objectives of diverse projects.
• Act as the lead Biostatistician, collaborating with investigators to establish objectives, design sampling, randomization, and statistical analysis plans to meet study goals.
• Create and execute suitable methodological procedures for statistical analysis, overall descriptive statistics, exploratory data analyses—including graphs, schematic summaries, and necessary transformations—and confirmatory data analyses, including statistical tests and/or modeling.
• Develop, implement, and oversee computerized systems for analyzing complex research projects to prepare scientific presentations on study results.
• Conduct sample size and power calculations, generate randomization schemas, and draft statistical sections for research protocols and manuscripts.
• Engage in regularly scheduled meetings with investigators and the team that require statistical insights.
• Design tables and statistical procedures tailored for specific research studies.
• Compose statistical design, methods, and analyses for manuscripts and research proposals.
• Analyze data and compile tables for interim and final reports.
• Innovate and apply new statistical methodologies.
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to security policies as dictated by HIPAA and the Johns Hopkins IRB.
• Supervise one or more professional team members and project milestones.
• Prepare progress reports and present findings to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Additional education may be considered in lieu of required experience, as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
