This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Evaluate and classify medical content related to various diseases, conditions, procedures, and interventions, with a particular emphasis on orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and/or spine surgery.
• Perform research on emerging trends and behaviors within the healthcare sector for core/pharma/device-related initiatives.
• Analyze and summarize market research documentation.
• Collaborate with a team of physician advisors, clinical subject matter experts, and content reviewers to verify medical data and information.
• Facilitate ongoing discussions with leading physicians about disease presentations, current best practices, and procedural workflows.
• Compile case descriptions and clinical content for the development of medical education software.
• Work alongside team members to address challenges and communicate pertinent clinical information effectively.
• Present research findings to a diverse team of artists, designers, engineers, producers, and product managers.
• Conduct quality assurance testing on medical education software, assessing both user experience/usability and the clinical accuracy of medical content as it appears in the product.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical field, including roles at a U.S. medical education company, medical publisher, academic institution, hospital, or within a medical device or pharmaceutical company.
• Preferred advanced degree (MD, PhD, Master's in Bioengineering, RN, NP, PA, PharmD).
• Exceptional medical communication skills, with a proven track record of communicating extensively with clinicians and conveying complex concepts to non-specialists.
• Extensive experience in content planning, development of content roadmaps, reference documentation, high-volume editing, content optimization, and clinical evaluation.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of medical practices and current trends in patient care, especially regarding spine surgical procedures.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams across U.S. and Germany time zones.
• Must currently reside in the U.S.; preference for candidates located in the Midwest.
