This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the design, development, and validation processes in assay development for bioinformatics.
• Utilize expertise in bioinformatics, genomics, and assay technologies.
• Lead the design of development studies and all analyses related to assay development initiatives.
• Create statistical and machine learning methods to assess assay performance.
• Present analysis outcomes and methodologies to both internal teams and external partners.
• Construct scalable, production-ready workflows for high-throughput NGS data analysis.
• Support the successful deployment of production pipelines.
• Maintain adherence to regulatory standards throughout the bioinformatics development lifecycle.
• Assist in regulatory submissions and audits.
• Offer scientific guidance and mentorship to junior members of the bioinformatics team.
• PhD or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related data science discipline.
• At least 6-7 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis, algorithm development, and pipeline implementation.
• Comprehensive understanding of NGS technologies and various library preparation methods.
• Expertise in quantitative transcriptomics derived from NGS or expression microarray data.
• Skilled in machine learning and the creation of innovative bioinformatics methodologies.
• Experience in developing and deploying bioinformatics workflows on AWS.
• High proficiency in Python programming.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams.
• Proven track record of technical and scientific leadership.
