This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Supervise and audit benefits transactions including enrollments, life events, and terminations processed via Workday.
• Assist in managing employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness initiatives.
• Take ownership of monthly carrier billing reconciliation and payment, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive benefits reporting.
• Collaborate with HRIS to confirm the configuration of the benefit system and resolve any issues within the Workday platform.
• Work closely with Human Resources to ensure uniform administration and application of benefits processes across all locations.
• Partner with Human Resources to guarantee accurate communication, reporting, and resolution of employee benefits issues.
• Assist with the execution of open enrollment, including system validation and reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact for carriers, including COBRA vendors, on a day-to-day basis.
• Address employee inquiries regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and claims.
• Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners to support benefits processes across various locations.
• Ensure consistent administration of the benefits program for multi-state and Bahamas populations.
• Maintain operational compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Audit and validate eligibility and enrollment data utilized for ACA reporting.
• Oversee the accuracy of COBRA administration, including tracking qualifying events and notice timelines.
• Assist with the preparation of Form 5500 data and audit requests as necessary.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all benefits processes.
• Monitor compliance requirements across multiple states and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• 3 - 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®) certification is preferred.
• 3 - 5+ years of practical experience with Workday Benefits, including reporting and vendor EDI feeds.
• Demonstrated experience with billing reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and compliance execution.
• Experience supporting multi-state populations; experience with the Bahamas is a plus.
