This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee financial management and budget analytics: Supervise weekly, monthly, and quarterly budget processes for North American medical, dental, and vision programs, performing proactive audits, pivot table queries, and maintaining executive dashboards to monitor essential utilization metrics.
• Lead Health and Tax-Advantaged plan management: Act as the primary subject matter expert for self- and fully-insured health plans, FSA, and HSA programs, ensuring smooth execution across vendors such as Aetna, Kaiser, bswift, and Darwin while adhering to HIPAA, ERISA, and Mental Health Parity regulations.
• Develop strategic engagement communications: Evaluate claims data, network utilization, and preventative care trends to create targeted, user-friendly communication campaigns, monthly educational one-pagers, and restroom installments that empower employees to maximize their benefits and tax-advantaged accounts.
• Collaborate on open enrollment and vendor performance: Spearhead testing, configuration requirements, and quality assurance reviews for Open Enrollment, M&A integrations, and vendor life-event implementations in close collaboration with internal benefits operations, brokers, and external vendors.
• Enhance operational processes: Identify opportunities for automation, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate executive-level presentations—including support for board-level mental health initiatives—to streamline benefits administration within a matrixed environment.
• 5–8+ years of experience in benefits analysis, budget management, or plan administration within North American markets (US, Puerto Rico, and Canada).
• Strong understanding of complex data analytics, financial driver modeling, and advanced functionality in Excel and Google Sheets (including pivot tables, data queries, and test plan development).
• Proven expertise in navigating the intricacies of North American healthcare, including differences between self- and fully-insured plan designs, provider networks, HSA/FSA administration, and compliance obligations (ERISA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity, Form 5500).
• Demonstrated ability to excel in ambiguous environments ('shades of grey'), exhibiting a team-first attitude and readiness to adapt and adjust priorities during organizational changes or M&A activities.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication and project management abilities to convert complex policy and data into actionable, easily comprehensible employee communications and leadership presentations.
