Senior Backend Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• An independent contributor who requires minimal guidance to successfully navigate the software development process.

• Collaborating closely with client stakeholders on daily tasks.

• Providing assistance and support to junior team members and newcomers.

• Acquiring tasks from the project lead, preparing functional and design specifications, and obtaining approval from all stakeholders.

• Engaging in troubleshooting and optimization of microservices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of significant experience in Java backend development.

• A robust understanding of microservices, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and APIs.

• Familiarity with architectural patterns of large-scale systems/products, including APIs, high-volume data pipelines, distributed systems, and efficient algorithms.

• Practical experience with any modern database.

• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools, specifically Claude Code.

• Exposure to Python and NodeJS is highly regarded.
