This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Lead the execution of significant team-focused projects and engage in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Actively contribute to product development within the team: offer feedback and propose solutions to challenges. Utilize technical knowledge and expertise to recommend product enhancements.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and business-related issues.
• Engage in non-team activities, including support rotations, recruitment processes, RFC discussions, and more.
• Mentor and offer guidance to fellow engineers.
• Research, propose, and actively participate in the implementation of improvements to our platform.
• Develop interfaces by prioritizing performance, accessibility, and API design.
• Redefine the process of how engineering work is deployed with autonomous agents as the primary execution layer.
• Propose and implement agentic workflows from start to finish (specification → planning → execution → verification) to accelerate outcomes.
• Create reusable agentic workflows and components within the codebase for teams to utilize consistently across various domains.
• Employ verification loops (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to ensure results are accurate, secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Strong engineering principles and a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and enhancing them through iterative processes.
• Ability to think systematically: articulate specifications clearly, deconstruct plans, implement verification, and ensure quality is maintained.
• Proficiency in Postgres (or a comparable database).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
• Demonstrates robust automation and AI skills along with AI fluency.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React/Vue/Angular.
