Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• You will be part of a diverse team of engineers specializing in Frontend, Backend, SRE, and QA.

• This position is available across multiple teams, and we will determine the specific team you'll join during the interview based on business requirements and your preferences.

• No matter which team you become a part of, your focus will be on developing tools, APIs, and integrations for one of our products.

• Our backend technology stack includes Elixir and Phoenix, supported by a Postgres database. For our frontend, we utilize React and Next.js.

• We employ GitLab for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) solutions.

• Our applications are hosted on AWS, and we depend entirely on our CI for deployments, enabling us to deploy multiple times a day.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid engineering principles and a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.

• Hands-on experience in designing or implementing agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and enhancing them through iterative processes.

• A systematic approach to thinking: clearly define specifications, break down plans, verify implementations, and ensure quality assurance.

• Proficiency in Postgres (or a similar database).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or equivalent).

• Strong skills in automation and AI, along with a good understanding of AI concepts.

• Nice to have: Experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, etc.

• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes.

• Nice to have: Experience with Docker.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS.

• Nice to have: Experience with Next.js.

• Nice to have: Experience with React, Vue, or Angular.
