This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with both internal and external partners to design the fundamental systems and create APIs that enhance our top-tier user experiences.
• Develop our internal tools and APIs to streamline business and engineering processes, making them more efficient, quicker, and safer.
• Implement systematic modifications to align current systems with existing architectural objectives.
• Connect with external services to oversee payments, documents, and claims.
• Integrate with data providers to obtain real-time information on numerous data points, including property features and risk profiles.
• Offer subject matter expertise, mentorship, and assistance to team members.
• Engage in architectural discussions with your team.
• Contribute to significant architectural and operational decisions such as microservices versus monoliths, deployment strategies, technologies, policies, etc.
• Take part in daily stand-ups, weekly one-on-ones, and biweekly retrospectives.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional/production experience in developing backend web-stack applications.
• Professional experience utilizing Go in previous positions. Please note, part of the interview process involves a coding challenge in Go.
• Proven history of implementing enhancements in business-critical systems regarding stability, performance, and scalability.
• Demonstrated capability to deliver complete systems from inception to completion within a reasonable timeframe and with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
